ENGLISH PRO IS YOU WITH ME.

ENGLISH PRO is the shortened word for English Proficiency, which is my mission and goal for my students.

In a community in which reading, critical thinking, writing, and speaking in English are essential abilities for all students, ENGLISH PRO is the answer!

ENGLISH PRO teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) from scratch to success.

Its MISSION is to provide non-native speakers of English with lessons, activities, and events through ESL programs that will engender them the love of the spoken and written English words, enriching their academic, cultural, and economic life.

The GOALS of ENGLISH PRO resonate with academic excellence and students’ success.

• The Academic Excellence goal of ENGLISH PRO’S ESL Program is to create curricula and instructional materials that help students:

  • Acquire linguistic and cultural knowledge related to academic settings

  • Expand academic vocabulary

  • Develop confidence in speaking/listening and reading/writing, including formal and informal registers

  • Learn to monitor and self-correct their linguistic output

  • Develop fluency in the use of higher-level grammatical structures

  • Learn to “think” in the target language

i.e., to learn to use the language without heavily relying on their first language.

• • Acquire phonological and phonetic knowledge of the sound system of English

• The Student Success goal is to:

  • Provide a variety of ESL courses at multiple levels (age and ability appropriate) to include non-native speakers from diverse (cultural and) age groups with or without prior educational and professional experience.

  • Provide classes in traditional and accelerated formats to meet the varying needs of students.

  • Help students succeed by facilitating Conversation and Grammar Labs, as well as by providing professional ESL tutorials to work one-on-one with English Learning Students.

  • Assess all English Learning students’ abilities in the core linguistic skills of speaking/listening and reading/writing.

ENGLISH PRO는 English Proficiency의 줄임말로 학생들을 위한 나의 사명이자 목표입니다.

영어로 읽기, 비판적 사고하기, 쓰기, 말하기가 모든 학생들에게 필수적인 능력인 커뮤니티에서는 ENGLISH PRO가 그 답입니다!

ENGLISH PRO는 처음부터 완성에 이르기까지 ESL (제2외국어로서의 영어)을 가르칩니다.

그 목표는 영어가 모국어가 아닌 사람들에게 ESL 프로그램을 통해 코스, 활동 및 이벤트를 제공하여 영어 구어체와 문어체에 대한 사랑을 불러일으키고 학업, 문화 및 경제 생활을 풍요롭게 하는 것입니다.

      • 공식 및 비공식 기록부를 포함하여 말하기/듣기 및 읽기/쓰기에 대한 자신감 개발

      • 회화 및 문법 실습을 촉진하고 영어 학습 학생과 일대일로 작업할 수 있는 전문 ESL 자습서를 제공하여 학생들이 성공하도록 돕습니다.

      • 말하기/듣기 및 읽기/쓰기의 핵심 언어 능력에서 모든 영어 학습 학생들의 능력을 평가합니다.
